Gate if some are thinking the 375 ruger is the max fudd ... Gate imagine ....
Well, so far, 15 years, it's not been an issue. The height over bore is much smaller than the kill zone of any big game animal I'm after. In that regard, there are large varmint scopes that would have a similar distance between the line of sight, and bore.I'm no expert, but at closer ranges, the parallax error would be a greater factor on a higher mounted scope such as this. So I'm not sure your statement about shorter ranges is correct.
Put a set of see through rings on anything and it can be Fudd![]()
What if I have a quick close shot within 30-50 yards?
That's wen I figure the iron sights will be benefitial

Stick yuor scope on low power, keep both eyes open. I've shot several animals at much closer ranges than 30 yards with a scope on 1x-5x
After testing, the military concluded that low powered optics are quicker to use than open sights.
My daughter if she want them.
My see through rings on my BLR, will be removed and melted down to a lump. Just to spare her the embarrassment should she ever join CGN.![]()
Yeah, they should have just asked hunters that hunt thick stuff and wide open country at the same time!![]()
