I've had my cz for a while and absolutely love the thing. The thing I'm missing and have been searching for is good quality see through mounts so I can use the iron sites while having a scope on the rifle.

Any suggestions would be really helpful!

I agree with the above. But if you want try looking at A.R.M.S. 22 QD mounts. They are quick detach and the medium and high ones have a lightening hole you can look through under the scope. Might work.

Okay so it seems that it's simply not a good idea. I always liked the idea of being able to use my iron sites as back up which I've done in the past while hunting.

Warne makes quick detachable scope rings that mount directly to the CZ receiver. 100 percent better than see thru rings.

You know back in the day before I knew anything about hunting or shooting, I had a Remington 742 with weaver tip over mount for the scope. I could flip the scope, shoot with irons, flip the scope back and still hit the 8 inch gong with the scope at 250 yards with regularity from a bench. Then I learned a lot about shooting and found out the weaver tip overs where useless and wouldn’t hold proper zero. I do find those see throughs hard to shoot with. Wouldn’t mind having one of those old tip over mounts though!

QD mounts and a quality scope. If the scope is of sufficient quality, you will more than likely never find yourself in the situation whereby you need to remove the scope. See through mounts not only look ugly, they cause an unnecessarily high cheek weld.

I made the mistake of using see through rings for years... The issue is that the height makes them a gimmick produced by sub par manufactures. I just got a CZ 550 which has the same dovetail as your 557. I purchased a set of Warne QDs from Canada Ammo and I couldn't be happier. Cheap rings belong on a cheap rifle, not a CZ.

Put a decent scope on it and forget about the iron sights.

Or run the gun with iron sights.

Just pick one and go with that. Being able to remove the scope is so over-rated outside of dangerous game hunting....

If you can see your open sights over your rail you will see them with the quik site rings too, they are split so they don't block anything higher than the rail. See through rings are great, my irons are 100 percent and my scope is a bit high but I'm not throwing out the idea over that, it's fun to do comparitive offhand shooting, quick detach no substitute although they are also useful of course
