See through scope mounts

Like my old boss always told me when I asked him how I should perform a certain task. "Do what ya gotta do man, I don't rightly give a #### how it gets done so long as it works." :D

Hate 'em. My old man has some Ironsighter see-thru rings and they suck. I can't even see the bead on the front sight since they aren't quite high enough, but they're so high as to make them uncomfortable and make shooting with them inconsistent at best.

For scopes that may have to come off: Leupold QRW rings. I cannot fathom a situation where I would use see-thru rings on one of my rifles.

Another solution is to get yourself a light, brush beater carbine, something that a few more scratches won't be noticed on, suitable for pushing branches out of the way, iron sights for close range and infallability when wet snow and debris abounds, for when you pull the short straw and have to hump it through swamp and bush. The lighter the gun the better, no bolt or scope to catch on branches, and the likelihood of a shot over 20 yards is slim.

I use Warne QD's on a couple of my rifles and the zero retention is awsome.I really like the aluminum screw in scope caps I picked up for my 2.5x8 VX3 except you just about have to remortgage to buy a set.
