Seeking advice on finishing ar build

Hi CGN

im seeking some advice on finishing my AR build
so far I have:
blue line lower
motiuk upper
magpul Ctr stock
lpk kit
3 10 rnd mag

seeking advice on a barrel, fore end, and sights and muzzle break.

s&j has barrels for 269 incl gas block and gas tube. Haven't read any negative story's about this. Going 14.5" barrel

Fore end I was thinking a NEA 12" free float quad rail. Your thoughts?

was thinking about a vortex strike fire red dot scope. Want some BUIS as well at one point.

NEA muzzle break from SFRC?

And please your recommendations on a AR armours wrench?

Can't comment much on your post as I haven't finished assembling mine either but on another posters recommendation, this is the armorers wrench I bought:

I wouldn't run anything NEA. Their rail design is poor with the compression style securing method, which they are not the only ones using it. There are far better muzzle devices available and a lot of wgich is better is personal decision. iron sights should be nothing less than real magpul mbus not airsoft copies. I prefer Troy but PRI yhm and arms make decent options.

You really need to determine what you want this rifle to do before selecting a rail or even a barrel length.

Wolverine has Daniel defense barrels in stock. They cost more but are well worth it. I really like the Diamondhead rails that One Shot Tactical sells. I personally wouldn't touch anything NEA. Got burned once and it won't happen again.

Pretty good actually. The wrench is nice and heavy, no worries there. Blocs are just hard plastic, seems like they could stand up to a lot of abuse.

Hey a thread about ARs! Been a while since I've seen one of those!

When you're looking at the strike fire: I would very much consider taking the cash you had in mind for your BUIS and putting them into an improved optic. Many people like the strike-fire, but many more people find its a big dot and takes unusual/expensive batteries. You might find yourself better served by a Sparc or one of the . . . ah geez . . . I can picture the chassis.

Somebody help me: whats the other mid-range red-dot thats reasonably popular?

With a muzzle brake: what are you wanting it to do? Remember, the $10 A2 is still a pretty darn effective design.

you should pop into the red deer shooting center, they have all of our products (S&J hardware), they way you can seem them up close , as well they have lots of quality ar15 products.
