Ok, this is the Readers Digest version.
I dropped off my Browning BLR .22 Grade 2 in 1999 and all he had to do was refinish the stocks and replace the firing pin. Have had hundreds of excuses why it wasn't finished for the past 15 years, its kind of a ritual every time I meet him.
Apparently it was apart and he had a flood the parts were lying on a cement ledge and you know the rest of the story.
I need a gunsmith that has connection to Browning?
I want him to purchase the part or parts and install them in my Browning BLR .22.
He's a great old guy but is on his last legs and I would like it back before the funeral.
Wow... wish I had your optimism. If he hasent done those 2 simple things in 15 years... what makes you think he will replace the now flood damaged parts ?
Get the gun back from him and take it to a real gunsmith. Cut your loses on cost of parts.
