Seeking forgiveness, I have seen the light!

My favourite HG's for bench shooting are DA/SA revolvers. IMO nothing beats them if your goal is one-hole ragged groups. Besides they look and feel so good!

Like many here I own several varieties of Semi-autos both all steel and polymer. When it comes to run&gun holster drills my go to is a gen3 G17. It has never failed to go bang and for re-active drills it is more than accurate! I don't know how many thousands of rounds I've put thru it but it still looks like the day I bought it. The only piece that needs to be replaced is the Pacmayr slip-on grip:)

Some complain about "grip-angle"....never is an issue with me. I shoot a variety of HGs and shoot them all decently.

OP, enjoy your Glock......

I’ve owned a USP, Sig 226, HK45, HK P30L, S&W 3rd Gen 4505, FEG hi power, Glock 17 gen 1, Glock 22 gen 4, Springfield 1911 A1 and loaded. That being said if I deploy anywhere from the sandbox to mars I’m taking a Glock 17 or 18 Gen 4 or 5 with the 3.5# connector & NY1 trigger spring and steel night sights. It will work rain or shine. They are simple and reliable

With the same scenario considered I would choose the HK Mark 23. There really isn't a pistol built on par when it's intended purpose is taken into account. Not stating an opinion, just the facts:)

No, that's pretty much an opinion...

Not trying to get into a pissing match, but I feel that when opinions are based on cold hard facts that are so overwhelmingly convictive in one direction, that any other option is illogical, they become more than opinions. Some people just can't face the facts, and that's not my opinion, that's a fact:)

Well said..

The HK mk23 is the only pistol ever designed to be an offensive pistol, and primary weapon system.... so it would be a fact that no pistol can beat it when you take into account it's intended purpose...

Except that testing and or performance is where the rubber meets the road, not "intended purpose." What can it do that other pistols cannot, besides be over sized and over weight..

You know Kidd... it is funny that you are very quick to call out anyone who may be wrong, but whenever you are wrong yourself, you always try to redirect by saying that isn't what you are referring to....

Don't get me wrong, we disagree and agree on lots of things.... Just noticed it.

I think the HK45C with threaded barrel gives you the same basic features as the Mk23 in a smaller lighter package.

In order for it to be more than an opinion you would have to put it on the timer against other firearms in a sufficient number of drills to actually prove its alleged superiority. I've handled and fired it and I remain unconvinced, and as another poster stated, the HK45 has the potential to do everything the MK23 does except make your back hurt when you have to carry it around. I'd think there's probably a reason they're not more prolific aside from simply the cost...
