Seeking Mossberg 835 Bolt (in time for opener)!

Hello!

My Mossberg 835 needs a new bolt ASAP.

The action cycled with the barrel removed, but wouldn't with it installed.

The culprit was the catch on the right hand side of the bolt that holds the rim of the shell. It was bent inwards, and snapped off rather easily when I applied a bit of pressure to straighten it out.

Is there anyplace (preferably in Southern Ontario) from which I can order a new 835 bolt in time for the Southern District opener on Sat 26th?

This is worst than the time my key got permanently jammed in my gun cabinet the day before the opener. Thankfully my late father did lots of body work on trucks and knew how to open it without twisting the metal apart!

I'm not sure where you could get the part you need on that short notice (maybe Epps?). Since the piece is off (its called an extractor), you might want to try re-assembling it and see if it will cycle OK now. Mossbergs have dual extractors, it may well work fine now. Or maybe it won't, but it doesn't cost anything to try. Even if it does work, I'd get the broken extactor replaced as soon as you can though.
