Seeking recommendations with Semi-auto 20 gauge for junior

A beretta a400 xplor 20ga is another option. The 26" version without the kickoff is a trim light very reliable soft shooting gun

My wife has one of those. It's a great little gun but the recoil is very pronounced being so light and it has a very significant muzzle jump. I thought maybe my wife wasn't holding the forend firmly enough but upon trying it myself I was surprised how lively that muzzle was when fired. You can really see it on our Shotkam videos duck hunting. The red dot doesn't move upward at all when videoing with my SX3 but it jumps a good foot above the ducks when mounted on her A400 shooting 3/4oz Federal Blue Box loads and easily double and more shooting 3" Kent Faststeel 7/8oz loads. I'm curious to see how it shows on our trap guns this coming season.

Does it relate to pitch of the stock?

Winchester SX4 youth 20 gauge.
but didnt like to load the tube because it breaks her fingernails.
Over-under : got het a 20 Gauge , but the lever to open/break the action is stronger then her thumb.
She is using my old citori sporting 12 gauge.

I find mine shoots very flat with both steel loads you mentioned. A fraction of the recoil of my 20ga doubles. 1.25oz turkey loads even feel soft in my a400. They hit my shoulder like a 300wm in my doubles.
Could be stock angle or shooting style but i find it the softest shooting auto on the market. Except for my 28ga a400
