Seeking Springfield TRP

Hi folks. After researching at length I decided that I want a new Springfield TRP (Stainless). But of course, I've searched and can't find one Anywhere. Does any supplier in Canada have access to these??
I'd also consider bringing one from Washington State, if possible, but haven't yet determined what's needed US side. Canadian side, we just need a PAL and ATT, no? I'm in BC.

If a Springfield simply isn't in the cards, I've also considered a Sig P220 Elite Stainless, but the factory grips were a bit too large (and I don't care for the rosewood). When I asked a retailer about getting them switched out to something slimmer and more appealing the retailer indicated that it took forever to get anything from Sig so it would be difficult.

Thanks in advance for any helpful insight.

Your best bet (probably your only hope at all) on the Springer is to contact a direct importer, Questar, Prophet River or Irunguns - all sponsors here. Those guns are hard to get in the US, so don't hold your breath. You cannot under any circumstance buy a firearm for yourself in the US and bring it to the border - if you get caught you will do US Federal time, especially now. Contact one of the above dealers, and they will take care of the import for you.

Thanks for the info, Enefgee - it's appreciated.
I thought I read somewhere that I could potentially have the firearm sent to Customs at the border. Ah the web - steady piles of conflicting info.
I'll reach out to one or two of those you suggested.

Cheers.

Nope you cant you need export permits, you need to have the pistol registered in Canada. If you wanna import better to pay one of the sponsor's to do it. The 3 listed above will all import for you

kbvr6: Understood. Thank you.
I've reached out to all three distributors. Questar has replied and indicated that it "does not deal with Springfield currently and cannot offer
their products." I'll likely advise on responses from the other two as well.

It's not open for business yet but I know for a fact red deer shooting center is dealing with SA and I've seen three trp's the owner has brought in, one operator, one stainless and the other was an armory kote. It's scheduled to open mid spring if you haven't found one by then.

Cheers

I'm looking for a Springfield Range Officer and contacted Springfield, who referred me to their Canadian distributor R. Nicholls, who referred me to Wolverine Supplies.

I ordered one from Ryan at Wolverine in December but I'm not expecting delivery any time soon.

If in the market for a TRP - its a bit of a price stretch, but have you seen the used Springfield Custom Shop gun that Wolverine currently has up (http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/details/12821/Used-Springfield-1911-A1-Custom-Shop-45-ACP.aspx)? It looks almost indestingushible from the famed Sprinfield Professional built by SA for the FBI.

That thing is incredibly tight.I have handled it but a little to pricey for me.Its used but not much.No marks or scratches and way to tight to have had any amount of shooting.Tough to rack the slide on that one.

Thanks Very much folks.

MC One Shot: Reliable Gun - reported they order them but they don't come in.
live4therut & riderrick - do you have any contact info to be able to connect with Red Deer Shooting Center now?
riderrick: if I may, what was the sticker price on the stainless TRP?
Hammerlisp420: what was the sticker price on that at Wolverine?

That would seem to explain why Springfield 1911s are rarely encountered on Canadian dealers' shelves. On the other hand, XDs seem to be fairly common.
