I just slapped an North Eastern Arms upper handguard rail on my VZ-58, and am looking for a red dot or reflex that can handle temperatures at least -20 and below.
The Holosun HS403 looks like a good balance between price and quality but only functions to -10 according to the manufacturer. Is this a common problem across all battery-operated sights?
Not a dealbreaker if this is the case. The VZ's irons aren't bad past 100m, so I don't mind sticking to irons when the snow's really flyin'.
