Tried to get Badger rings (.823 alloy) but it will be at least 5 weeks. Found a thread from 2007 that said Seekins is not importable. Hopefully things have changed.

Does anyone in Canada stock these, specifically the 30mm low (.823").

Alternatively, what is a rock solid low (.823 or lower) alloy mount. I know Nightforce at .885" is available but I think even .823 will require some sort of stock buildup to get a proper cheekweld so I might as well start as low as possible. I have an Eagle stock pack on the way which I will pad with ensolite if necessary.

I may just go for the available steel .823" Badgers but would really prefer something lighter with comparable strength. (steel=7.2 ounces, alloy = 3.9 ounces).

Application is a Remington XCR Compact Tactical / Nightforce 20 MOA steel base / Leupold MK4 3.5-10 x 40.

Seekins will not ship to Canada.
(spoke Glen last week)
TPS will still ship to Canada.

There are ways around that. LaRue doesn't ship to Canada either. That doesn't mean that I won't be getting their Tactical QD Mount for my Aimpoint CompM4s to mount on my XCR :D

Good luck with your rings. There are Ferrari's and there are Corvette's... :p

To mount my new Schmidt and Bender 12-50x56 pmII I wanted the best of the best period.I looked around and asked here and on american sites. Many feel NEAR make the best there is so that is what I went with.Just look at the NEAR alfa mount.I haven't seen anything like it before. The quality and craftmanship is simply superb and it's built in Canada .

The Alphamount has arrived. Ordered Friday, got to my address in BC Monday. Can't get much more responsive than that! The mount is low, light and very nicely machined. It should work very well. Now if only my scope would get here.

I'll post pics of the mount when the scope arrives. I can also photograph the Near side by side with the similarly designed Nightforce Unimount if anyone is interested. The Near seems a bit more... ?advanced ?organic ?evolved

Words obviously escape me.
