Apologies if it's a re-post...

It's called a "pistol", due to the U.S. short-arm rules..;)..you have to remeber that pistols there are given more leeway than short-longrams, as they have that AOW class we Canucks don't....:p

Cyclone : nice gun.

That's always bugged me about "Steve McQueens" shell belt On "Wanted Dead or Alive"
I don't think those are the shells for that gun he used. Looks like 45/70 for a 44 WCF gun. That said it was still a great show.

WOFT. Too short to mount or hold properly, can't cycle it from the shoulder unless you've got 14" long arms and don't mind getting your eye gouged out. Too short a sight radius to be used as a rifle with any hope of accuracy unless the rear sight notch is hopelessly skinny or the front post ridiculously fat. And that monster John Wayne lever...do we even have to go there?

There should be a "Toy Guns" forum for things like this because you couldn't hun a damn thing with it. You could bonk the hell out of a fish with it, so I guess it's not entirely useless!

You have obviously never seen The Bounty Hunter handle his rifle. ;):D:cool:

Your still thinking of it as a rifle, when in reality you should be thinking it's now a lever action pistol. :D

Besides which if cutting down a rifle didn't work for some folks then they would not keep doing this throughout history.

In the old show Wanted Dead or Alive, where this rifle is from it wasn't really a rifle at all. It was a way too powerful handgun worn on his hip like a pistol. It was a great show like most Westerns in the day and unlike the crap on tv now.

Good point Calum.

I think this is like the SMG of yesteryear.
