I am wondering how the 85 gr. seirra hpbt gk in the 243 performs on deer? It's the heaviest bullet I can use with my rifle. Anything heavier than that the rifle will not shoot. i have been able to get the bullet to shoot 3/4 inch. will the bullet come apart? Stop on the far side? Or blow right though? i would be greatfull for any help!

I used to use the 70's or 75's in the sierra hp and they killed quite well. Shot placement is the biggest thing of course. When you hit heavy bone not ribs with them they fragment pretty bad but it causes more bleeding.
