Probably not the best place to post this question, but not really any other suitable place. Who out there uses the self healing targets? I am just looking a getting one or 2 but in the brief descriptions I read on the products, it says that they are only good for 2-5 thousand rounds. 2 thousand rounds is a summer of shooting. I thought they would last a lot longer than that. What does your experience say. I am only thinking of 22 rifle mainly. With a little handgun or center fire rifle thrown in.

I purchased a couple of the 'Do All' brand. A gopher and a gong. While they have taken a lot of shots, they are disappointing. Only because they are not reactive enough in my opinion. I ended up painting them and turning them into more of a shoot and see target. Steel is much more fun, again in my opinion.

Watch the ground rollers, as I caught a ricochet from one once. Mind you the distance was under 20 yards and it was winter

I had a couple. One was a cube and one was triangle. Was very unimpressed. Shot with .22 and 9mm. And could hardly tell if i hit it or not. Bullets went through like butter

I picked up two yellow octagon ground rollers from Cabela's for 50% off = $15 each.
Haven't used them yet, but did use a friends previously and 30-30 rounds were tearing pretty good holes through it at 40-60 yrds.
I'll mainly be using x39 & x54 but for the price I paid and the high reactive level of them, I'm happy.

Here is an interesting guy. About 4 min into the video he shows a homemade type of self healing target Definitely not the quality of purpose made targets, but it could work for some cheap practice indoors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODerHMTtG58
