Bolek has posted a number of tutorials detailing his work. Really quite remarkable.

He is an occasional poster on www.muzzleloading.com. He builds authentic fully-working replications of higher-end renaissance firearms for museums all over Europe, especially his native Poland. I think that it you have to ask how much it costs that you are well out of the running, purchase-wise. One of his masterpieces - just a 'simple' working replication of a wheellock hunting rifle owned by a minor royal in what is now called Pommerania fetched around 55,000eu a few years back., almost half of what the real thing would have cost, had it not been in a museum and not for sale. So if you ever have yen to own one of those beautiful masterpeices that you see in a museum, this guy is your man. Just be rich, is all.
