Sell a Mini-14 for kelTec SU-16?

there's are at least 6 more videos of his about the Mini
Just to be clear are we talking about a 581+ series mini or the older model? If 581+ the su16 isn't even in the same ballpark but if you're selling a 181 series etc to buy a su16 that makes more sense.

The 581+ "Ranch Rifle" mini 14 is a completely different rifle than the previous models stamped "mini 14"

My buddy just tried his best loads again. First was about 1 1/4 , sec was 2 and third was back to 1 1/4. This was using a cheap 3-9 bushnell and a distance of 100 metres . 55 g Hornady Z max tips and CFE powder.

Sold!

Now, only choice left_ the SU16A ( IRG has it for 7 bills). Or, the SU16 tactical (runs about 1200 bucks).

Could almost buy 2 'A's' for one 'C'

???

Dammit!

Yeah mine is a 580 series. Sounds like I aught to just keep it then. I still might part with the AR though. Just not getting used enough. I realize this option isn't semi auto, but what are peoples thoughts of the Remington 7615 police carbine? Takes AR mags, NR and reliability isn't an issue. How is the accuracy on these? Are they worth the current used going price of around a grand?

I was thinking of going with the SU-16 tactical, since it doesn't have the bipod foreend and wouldn't require any mods. And yeah, at just about 1200, it's not exactly a budget gun. $700 fr the standard model is a little ore reasonable. Would the tactical be worth the extra 500?

Have to agree, the older Mini's had pencil barrels. Many things could be done to improve them, some of which are pricey. I have a 583 series stainless which I polished the trigger group, added 1911 buffers on each end of the op rod. That alone did improve the MOA drastically.

you can buy the stock and for end for about $260 + taxes. The factory tac model will have a muzzle break though.

If you can't find a decent 7615 for a good price, you could also consider the Troy PAR. It's a little bit more expensive but it would fit the bill for you nicely I would imagine.

When I got rid of the pos su16, I got a 7615p
Better rifle, basically a 20ga 870 that shoots 223 instead.
Has the problem of being a pump action. Not great for range use off a rest.
Sold it to a guy on here who loves it for coyote hunting.
