Sellers Market for the CZ858!

Timmy has 3 CZ 858's
The government prohibits them and declares you must register them.
How many CZ 858's does Timmy have now?

As ridiculous as the 5k+ ads are on the EE, I'm CERTAIN someone will spend that kind of dough in the last 2-3 days, JUST FOR BRAGGING RIGHTS for the 12.9 licence.

I'd bet my x95 with specter on that! (maybe i should get rid of it now before IT becomes 12.9... or trade it for a 858/SA lol)

New 12.9 prohibited class, sure you will get grandfathered, but the license will only allow you to buy rifles in the 12.9 class which only consist of the CZ and the SA rifles. :jerkit:

A mans gotta live, that rifle is like a child or a part of me. It has extreme emotional value, hence the price! :p

While we all have our vices, the green stuff isn’t one of mine. :d

How much will you pay for a prohib license that allows you to take your gun to the range only?

700 rifles in circulation. That's gonna leave allot of people rushing the get one for grandfathering.

I doubt it . What was the coolest part of both those rifles was that they were NR so u could take em anywhere . Now that their prohib , why would u want one ? Just to go to the range while they allow u ? And the grandfathering will only be valid for those two rifles , the Swiss arms while amazing I'm sure is expensive and the 858 ain't all that special , especially for range only duty

This grandfathering is only an enticement for the owners of these firearms to register them as prohibs . Once they are registered and the govt. knows who owns them , then they will refuse to issue ATTs , and the rifle will become an expensive paper weight . Right now , the govt. has no firm idea as to who owns them ; so they have to entice folks with false promises in order get them to register them .

Bingo.

They will probably issue the license , but then refuse to issue an ATT for the firearm .

And than, 2-3 years down the road it will become NR once again. Or not. I'm still willing to take a chance, especially since I got one today for less than half price and can still take it anywhere until this bill is passed. I got it not because of this 12.9 thing. 12.9 will only include 2 rifles, so what's the point. I got one because I always wanted one.

Who the hell wants more government 'knowing what you have' ......... More of a buyers market me thinks (seen there is a bunch just posted in the last 6 hours) ..... wait and see where the price goes.....

Time will tell.

Are you new to this game?

Time has already told. The book was already written and those who have read it know the ending. It has already happened to a previous generation.

The only thing that the makers of this turd legislation are able to rely on is the current generation don't know what has happened in the not distant past, or that current owners are removed enough from reality to think it won't happen to them.

Again we'll use the FAL as an example. It was a hunting rifle, then a range toy after registration, then after enough were registered ATT's were refused. See a pattern here?

Now is not the time to roll over into a "sellers market" mode. You know the path, now you need to get politically active and do what you can to legally fight it.

Time will tell. Pfft.
