What exactly is getting Prohib? I read they're 'rescinding what the Conservatives did', but the numbers don't add up. I thought they meant the CZ858 (certain production years) and the Swiss Arms thing.
And to the OP, if these go Prohib, just like the 12X section on the EE, everything is almost worthless. Doubt they'll grandfather them, Liberals want them gone, not in further use.

ALL CZ858 and Swiss Arms are going prohibited.
So why buy them for big money on the EE? Doesn't make sense to me...

Time has already told. The book was already written and those who have read it know the ending. It has already happened to a previous generation.
The only thing that the makers of this turd legislation are able to rely on is the current generation don't know what has happened in the not distant past, or that current owners are removed enough from reality to think it won't happen to them.
Again we'll use the FAL as an example. It was a hunting rifle, then a range toy after registration, then after enough were registered ATT's were refused. See a pattern here?
Now is not the time to roll over into a "sellers market" mode. You know the path, now you need to get politically active and do what you can to legally fight it.

Sure, lots of things happened over the years. I'm 36, know quite a few people with prohib licenses and keep hearing horror stories about this whole "evolution". I keep hearing how AK mags used to cost 10-20 in Canada. FAL was canned but look at SKS, that's been around for how many decades now? I know, it not select fire nor it is iconic battle rifle so to speak but why was there 0 attempts made on it? Maybe I'm stupid but I still hope for the best.

I have many prohibs in my safe in the basement that haven't seen a range since 2005 ..dont think for a minute that your att (SAP)will be around forever they did not even warn us when they stopped issuing them we all got a letter saying it was for our own good that we are no longer allowed to shoot them ..still have that letter somewhere

I expect the price of 858's to plummet, and I plan on being ready in a week or two, to pick up 2 or 3 for a song. (When I first joined, there were ads for the 858 everywhere, with it going for $799 ish I think. I want to see those prices again!
SKS is a 10rd internal mag semi-auto. Can't see it ever going anywhere as it's heavy and not so sporty... you can trick it out but it just adds expense to a dirt cheap firearm.
$100 a piece soon. Just watch when those letters start coming out guys will sh!t their pants and want to get rid of em'.
