Damn CGN, see something new, sell something proven!

Here's the guns i wish I never sold:

1) Marlin 1895 GG 45/70- security blanket, seen me through some nail biters
2) Browning ABOLT lh 30-06- taxidermy on the wall
3) Marlin 30-30 xlr shortened to 18.5", wish I had that one back, cougars, deer.
4) Ruger LH 375, moose, deer- with authority! Great gun.

Tell us about the guns you never should have sold!

A 300 PRC built on a Kimber Montana 8400, built by Gary Flach, had a 26” Hells Canyon Armoury Carbon Fiber barrel, crazy accurate with anything I put through it.....sold it to my Nephew so I can visit with it !!!

There are two rifles I wish I had kept.

1. 2nd gen M760 in 35Remington. It was in VG condition so I couldn't bring myself to have it rechambered to 358Win which was the plan. Sold it and bought a beater.
2. 1st gen Model Seven in 222. Thought I needed a 223 instead. :(

I had a weatherby vanguard s2 in 22-250 that I bought used for a really good price. That thing was so accurate it was scary. Sold it with a cheap 6-18x scope for $500 to a buddy. Still considering buying it back...if he’ll let me.

No regret, if i sold them because accuracy was not there. The only remors i get is when i forget a birthday. Lol. JP.

No remorse on any hunting rifles, but certainty on a few special milsurps, including the following unissued, all-original, all-matching, mint condition specimens:
1946 Venezuelan Short Rifle (FN M1930), 1953 Izhevsk SKS and about 5 other SKS's of various dates.

I also regret selling a perfect Norwegian K98 in 30-06!

M44 russian carbine that I traded against the purchase of a crappy h&r rifle. Got $150 in trade value and watched the dealer sell it for $360 a week later. Then my Pietta Sheriff's model that I sold bnib. Loved that gun but needed the money. Also regret trading off my MAS 36/51. Mint condition with grenade launcher. Got a nice JM Marlin 1895 GS in trade but I really miss that MAS.

Sold a unfired 1983 browning micro medallion in 7-08, about 7-8-9 years ago, by far the nicest stocked factory rifle I had owned. I really wanted a Sako finnlight, so I reluctantly sold the micro medallion to fund one (asked $1200, lasted 1/2 a day).

Right away, I sent the E transfer for the finnlight, only to find out he was a scam artist. Lost $1500, my micro medallion, not to mention my PAL and DL. The bastard keeps trying to use my ID still to this day.

Huge seller remorse!

On that note, if anyone recognizes this rifle (I believe I sold it on here) I’d buy it back in a heartbeat, even if it has been fired.

I had a marlin 336 30-30 with peep sights.
Traded it on here for a bow.
Got burned buy the other seller.
Stripped the good stuff off and put cheap stuff on.
Then gave me some Bonus brodheads loose in the box that cut the string in shipping.

Then he stopped replying to pms

Sold my first centerfire rifle I ever bought brand new, the first gun I had ever modified to suit my needs and a rifle that I had carried on remote jobs all over northern BC and shot my first elk with. 338 wm tikka t3 lite. Why? In order to waste money on a woman of course, and now I have neither the woman or the rifle and it’s some guys PRS build.

I’ve grown out of my tikka phase but I truly wish I could have that rifle back as it was. More than a few times in the bush and on my porch I stared down a bear with it and felt totally safe.

Impatiently took store credit instead of waiting on a fix for the only real euro kipplauf I’ve owned ( young and dumber, well younger and dumber)

Only gun I somewhat regret selling is an M1 Garand. Bought it for $150 from Lever Arms. After a few years I wasn't using it much so sent it down the road although I made a considerable profit as prices had risen dramatically. Now sometimes wish I had a Garand, but not often enough to pay current prices for one. I still have a few en bloc clips lying around in the shop and every now and then I find them by accident and think "sure would be fun to hear the PING" :)

Small regret on a Savage 99 in. 308 I sold. Really nice looking rifle and the lever is cool. Had several thoughts in what to do with the rifle from low power scope to rechamber to 35. Then I remind myself I'm a better shot with other hunting rifles, just as quick with bolt, and I never took it out. She was sure pretty though

Big regrets on a Carlgustaf Left hand 270 Winchester with gorgeous piece of walnut .Was in the middle of moving and ran short on funds sold what would sell first and for the most to put a roof over our heads for a month

Still miss my VZ58 and my Swiss Arms ... and sometimes my shorty M305 and full wood Enfield.

I too had a VZ58 and a Swiss. Sold them for a crazy loss quite some time back. Sold a 1990's Remington 700 BDL in .300 mag that was a tack driver like no other. I wish I had that one back probably more than almost any other. Sold a Marlin .30-30 that was an early '80's rifle. It too was a fantastic shooter. Let's add to this list a Marlin .444 (pre-safety) that would should almost MOA with my 300 grain Speer handloads. It was a moose slayer extraordinaire. I could list countless others .....
