Are these a brenneke style slug or just a conventional soft foster?

Closest comparison would be the "Thug Slug". Not even close to a Brenekke.

They are definitely not comparable to the original Brenneke slug!
The Sellier & Bellot is more a Foster type slug with a tail wad attached.

Thanks guys. There’s a local store charging 20 bucks for a 5 pack and had high hopes they were like a brenneke.

The Sellier & Bellot slug normally sells for around $25.- to $28.- for a box of 25.

Interesting. These were in a green box and said special slug, not special sport slug.

Yes, I remember those green boxes ... around 6 -7 years ago .... and yes, they came in 5 round boxes and in 12ga 1oz and 1 1/8oz slugs. They were $6.- or $7.- for 5 rounds.

They are however the exact same slug .... Foster type slug ... one version was a bit heavier and that's it.

I'd say Thug Slugs, or maybe Federal's "Deep Penetrator" if they even make'em anymore.
