hi all i have 2 rifles for sale in the hunting rifle exchange on this site
how do people generally ship a rifle and what is the standard cost?
and how do you pack a rifle to insure it arrives in good shape
is there a way to bill the buyer ie he shows up somewhere pays for the shipping once it has arrived?

shipping of rifles is typically in the $20-30 range, depending on where it is going and the dimensions of the box. if you can remove the stock from the barrelled action, you could fit them in a smaller box. of course this won't work for a FS rifle.

bubble wrap works well. newspaper to fill voids in the box is also good.

I usually ship mine via ExpressPost with insurance. If possible, pack the rifle in it's original box flipped inside out so not to expose the factory markings. Don't forget to use packing tape and not scotch or masking tape.

I use an 8" sonotube. You can buy an 8' length at the building supply store for $6.00. Tape the ends with duct tape and pack with news paper or bubble wrap. These sonotubes are really tough and will not crush or bend even with Bubba mail handlers on the job. I've never had a problem.

Make sure the rifle is packed securely in the box, so it cant bounce around - thats when damage occurs, like not wearing a seatbelt in a car accident. Also, best to get signature and insurance.

do you still have the cz lux 22 and is it for sale. if it is could you provide me with the informaation on it and a price thanks
