I am selling down, as we look at moving overseas, for a few years,
I have just put a few More rifles on Consignment,
One of which is a 6x47 rem sporter, single shot, it is by far the most accurate 6.5Lb sporter I have ever owned,
regularly shot 4 shot groups at 200m in the .06-08", with flat base bullets, can normal get about a loony size group @ 200m, with Boat tail bullet,
I am having second thoughts about selling it, of Couse, i shot off the last few rounds, a few days back, and put 4 60 gr well inside a loony at 200m, twice, No 75gr FB left, but it shoots them even better, Not as affected by the wind
got a 6x45 cooper, and Sako 6PPC, were i am going, so i don't need it, But still,
Who else has got that sinking feeling, letting An Accurate sporter go.
The truly accurate, and consistently Accurate, light weight sporters, aren't that common, form my experience.

I'd keep it. You can always make more money, but some things cannot be replaced.

Store it with a trusted friend here. You'll be glad you did when you come back.

The only guns I have ever regretted selling or the exceptionally accurate ones. Had a six PPC that shot like a house on fire, I ended up selling it because it was boring. and have regretted it ever since

.06" at 200? I think we have a new contender for "shoots like a laser" lol

OP what is your reason for selling? Just that you are moving out of country? I assume you can't take it with you?

Sure doesn't sound like you actually WANT to sell it...

Lend it to me. I’ll put it in a safe full of rifles that because of their cost/pedigree etc. should really shoot better. Instead of throwing money at my problems maybe they’ll step up their game in the presence of greatness. Peer pressure.

At one time Garands were worth less then beat up USGI 1911's, I was ready to do an even swap for my Garand, it always shot really good, met the guy at the range to do the swap, I said let me put one more bloc through it...
Put all 8 into a little over an inch at 100m, right centered on a 3" bull, said you can keep that 1911, this ain't going anywhere lol.
Even with hunting rifles, if I can't get them to shoot tight, they are gone. I'm only interested in accuracy.

threat isn't real enough to leave the country and give up your guns, just be wise prepare for the transition, all will work out and you won't have had to move twice and find some new guns lol...

We are on the move for a better quality of life, also I have lost one parent and the other is 86, so who knows.
I am already taking back 8 or so shotguns and rifles, already have several at destination, they are a nuisance to Import and export, so taking only what I will use, K95, Barret fieldcraft, etc.
I would like to keep this rifle, but it sits in a spot already occupied, As I already have a cooper M51 in 1-10 twist 6x45, I don't see me needing a 6x47 Remington 1-14 twist. There is also a Factor of wood blued being more prone to rust in a high humity environment, 2Km from the sea. Stainless is simply more practicable.
I have had great enjoyment, on one of western Canada best rifle ranges, but i wont have much access, to a nice range, but will have 360 days a year access to deer, pigs, goats and small game, 20 minutes from home.
rifle shoots pretty good with multiple under 75gr loads, wish i had taken more photes of the 2-3 dozen targes.

And you guys aren't helping, my second thoughts, on selling this rifle,

I had a Rem700 Titanium in 260 that was a great shooter but I just did not warm up to that cartridge. At times I wish I had kept that rifle as it was not only unique but also light and accurate, but I did not like the 260 for hunting. Another was an older, Rem700 in 243. This was amazingly accurate but I had no use for the 243 other than punching holes in paper so I parted ways. I often think about these two rifles and have regrets at parting with them just because of their accuracy.

Southernman is a friend of mine , he is going back home , he is not afraid of any perceived threat.
He has lots of guns where he is going.....

That level of accuracy certainly is not unique, let it go and if the future allows a new adventure in a new purchase may be most satisfying

Why not just keep it. Ask a friend to store it for you.

I tend to agree, if you plan on coming back, don’t need the cash, and are having _any_ second thoughts about selling it. If safe deep storage/temporary ownership transfer is an option, I would consider it.

Having to buy a buddy Lunch, is a small price to pay to not deal with the I shouldn’t haves sold it blues.

You guys are mean ! The poor guy is having a separation anxiety attack . lol RJ

I have a **Image and video linking functions will be enabled after you have contributed more to the forum**. It's with picatinny rail. Does the rifle match the scope? This is the details of my scope. **Image and video linking functions will be enabled after you have contributed more to the forum**

Right on, thought maybe it was part of the pack that’s running away for better life lol. And I’d have a hard time leaving my guns lol, I’d lead with trying to find some donor space or work on exporting etc.
