Other options would be the Springfield XDM (4.5" or 5.25") if you are looking for polymer

EAA/Tanfoglio if you want steel options. The EAA/Tanfoglios have quite a 10mm following in the US. They are not the expensive, the CZ design shoots very weill, and they are very robust. Here are a couple examples. IRUNGUNS has several models.

I have owned pretty well every 10mm out there, the Glock 20 is the best bang for your buck. If you aren't a Glock guy then I'd recommend the SR1911 if you can find one.
I had one of those EAA Witness All-Steel 10mms...Quite nice, but I find myself preferring my SigP220. The Witness in a touch heavy, and with an enhanced recoil spring and the skinny slide top, it is a little hard to pull back the slide to load.
I'm interested in the Springfield XDM, as it will be a lot lighter than either my Sig [still love it!] or the Witness.
I agree. I have a gen 3 Glock 20 and I have no complaints.Never had an issue running some factory and (pretty hot) reloaded 10mm through my Gen 3 Glock 20. I've seen a few of that same gun in the EE for really good prices.
I'm assuming the gen 4 is just as good as the gen 3? I did think a gen 5 had come out, but sounds like not.
ive got a Glock 40,
im also looking at the SR1911 in 10mm as i have a weakness for Ruger 1911's.

Great advice all. Lending towards the G20. Intend to only use buffalo bore style ammo and to shoot occasionally so should be ok for wear. Any recommendations where to purchase, any worthwhile accessories and a suitable holster? Cheers.
Yes that was certainly the case. A few batches of early models had flawed steel and bad QA which led to a slew of problems including frame and slide cracking in understand. New production, particularly with the Elite and Stock series frames, are bomb proof, at least according to many of the member on 10mm firearms forum.I would never recommend the Witness to anyone. I understand most are fine but mine started disassembling itself with light target loads, it took well over a year to get it back from EEA.
