A17 just get a butler creek extended mag cause stock savage mags have issues. Savage sent me a couple and neither ever worked well.

Didn't volquartsen just come out with a new one??? I think the VT2 its called and bonus its a takedown. Even easier to take it down than the ruger based models.

I believe the VT2 is also a barrel swap between the 22 wmr 17 hmr, with separate barrels available.

CSC shows a 22 wmr in stock. Wonder if they will get the 17 hmr?

Savage A17 is a great rifle, especially when coupled with some 25 round mags.
