Semi-Auto .303 British Sporterized Rifles

When I was a young lad back in the late sixties an uncle once showed up with a .303 British semi -auto rifle that had been sporterized or made by perhaps Parker Hale ( not sure ) . I remember he fired a few shots with it across the field to test it out. That is the last time I ever saw or heard of such a rifle. My question is has anyone on here ever seen one like that. I have researched and asked around other places but came up with nothing. Thanks in Advance

Globe 555 Mohawk is what he probably had. They were built on Russian SVT -40 rifles. Now thanks to the ban-o-thon, they're on the naughty list.
