Hello,
I'm looking for a Canadian company that makes a semi auto 338,
I know of the only long range bad news ar but I saw a website of a Canadian company carrying them.

The reason I'm asking is they make a single shot 50 bmg that was just shy of $2500 and I has interested in that. Any thoughts?

Canstar made one and it was classed as restricted. If it looks like an AR, it will be classed as one.

Hopefully when they scrap the long gun registry they clean up some of the stupid laws that classify a rifle based on how it looks. There is no reason to call an AR platform restricted as long as barrel length and overall length meet the minimum specified requirements.
Not only AR's but also the Norinco Type-97's which I'm on the waiting list for.

When the law makers smarten up and treat all rifles equally regardless of what they look like we will all be happy CanadianGunNutz

It was the canstar I was thinking of, I was unaware of the classification, I assumed it was non restricted, got to love the people that get to decide the classifications of firearms

This and the restricted Canstar are the only ones I can think of. If you can get the RND in, take that one.

Also, buy the RND 3000 while you're at it. Can never have too many semi .50 BMGs.
