JEC, I have a Rem 750 35 Whelen Carbine. I have to say that it is a great brush buster. I have owned it since new and haven't had any jamming issues. The biggest part of not having it malfunction is keeping it clean. I have put over 200 factory 200-250gr rounds through this gun without any problems. It shoots accurate as well, despite the shotgun style trigger. I do alot of close quarter hunting in heavy cover and it seems to work very well. This gun replaced my Marlin 444 for my brush gun. Overall I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for a brush rifle. It shoots well, short and quick, and has softer recoil do to the gas system. Just my thoughts on the 750. Good Luck
