semi-auto M249 Saw by Norinco

I have put a lot of rounds through an M249 or two over the years..... a semi auto one holds no interest to me

it’s prohib,type and kind ak.

It's only prohib because it's full auto. If a semi auto were to be built, it'd be restricted due to barrel length, unless of course they were made with non restricted length barrels (which they would be of course). I can't see this project ever getting off the ground though.

There's this thing I heard of, you get paid to shoot the C9, on fully auto. It's called the Army! Join today!

You guys really think Fn is going to let Norinco sell unlicensed copies in Canada.
you guys really think the RCMP will allow them in.
its nice to have a dream, I dream Canada isn't a police state all the time.

Yeah, put those plastic mags that seem to be popular in one of these. See what it's like to pull the feed lips out of the action with a Gerber tool.

Good news, anyone!
These are scheduled to arrive with the Korean surplus Garands!

That's too sad to be funny.

I haven't, so I am interested. I am sure the price will be far outside my reach, though.

The design was first released in 1974 so any patents have long since expired, FN couldn't do anything about it.

Depends on how good of a job Norinco does in changing the FCG to keep it from being easy to convert to FA.

On that we agree.

I didn't start this thread to get negative responses I'm sure their are many like mind people out there that loved the C9 and would love to have a chance to own their own version yes I agree 5 rounds would suck that was never my point it was just asking if it would be possible to see them come into production I don't understand why threads have to be bombed by people that just have nothing to contribute can we please just keep it to the topic at hand thanks

this company in the US makes civilian versions of the M249. Not cheap though.
