Semi Auto MG-34??

Allow me to clear up a few points for you, we are the importers of these for Canada.

Over the years we have supplied TNW with ALL his needs for 1919a4, M-2hb and Mg-34s.
We ship them the guns, they render them to parts, add in the new receivers, side plates etc, newly machined parts etc, etc and voila a new gun.

The only problem is that under new regulations in the US the 1919a4 and the Browning M2hb can no longer be exported.... We will soon produce them in Canada.

The Mg-34 was very costly to import becase of the low Can $, howeve we are now discussing anothe production run because of the increased value of our dollar.

For us the importing is NOT a problem, ALL of the TNW guns have BATF approval in the US and we have obtained CFC approval here in Canada, each has an FRT.

It's kind of ironic that the Yanks have a Canadian to thank for a lot of their milsurp imports over the years. :D

Although we have a full time photographer/webmaster on staff he is kept VERY busy....

What are you suggesting instead of simply marking "sold out"?
Should we remove the item from the site ? Then replace it once we get delivery ?

Or better yet, perhaps you might suggest how we can obtain accurate and timely delivery schedules from producers ?

While you are figuring out the above issues perhaps you could also advise me on how to get accurate timetables and delivery schedules from in country transport companies, transit transport, and sea going as well....

Almost forgot, so we will know when to remove or replace items on the site, would you PLEASE advise us on how to get some accurate scheduling for export permits, transit permits, port loading permits, import documentation, timely viewing and clearance by Canada Customs....

ALL of the above would be greatly appreciated, we are prepared to pay you for your knowledge and information.

I enjoy the site. Not really anything wrong with it now. Keeping items up that are sold is good, as it lets others know that it is gone. Viola, no more irritating "Is it still available?" emails!.

Keep it up with the imports of neat stuff, I know alot of people who really appreciate it.

I to appreciate your efforts John. Ignore the whiners and b**chers.
 
I suggested long ago for an ability to select Wish List items off the site. The waiting for sold out items to be in stock is in the years. The amount of checking for items to be in stock is in the hundreds. Not that I am complaining or anything - don't flame me - just stating the obvious.
 
Now that we have all that stuff cleared up, where is the picture of the two Canucks with the MG taken Vimey Ridge? I liked it so much I made it my screen saver. And by the looks of the one guy carrying the bullets, they plan on shooting it at something!

I try not to "flame" people, your suggestion has merit and is on the list of considerations....

Over the next year our site will undergo many changes, for instance we will add a lot of video segments.... People have asked to see more of what Marstar does here in Canada and elsewhere.... MANY changes coming....

come on now, you got what is probably a couple of Sask. farm boys with an MG 34 in their hands and they are not going to fire it? why does gunner no 1 have all that ammo wrapped around his neck?

i think it was last year or the year before, there was an mg-34 on the EE, 2800+ CAD, including a couple of drum mags, cans, and a tripod. seller had rating in the 10s-20s, and no pic in the ads. someone snapped it up quickly...my heart still aches when i'm talking about this, ouch.

In response to Claven 2's pictures of that beutiful MG 34, If anyone is interested in it's history the picture of the barrel jacket extension on his mg-34 indicates it is manufactured by Waffenwerke Brunn AG, Werk Brunn or "Brno" in Czechoslovakia. This company was the last maker of the MG-34. The MG -42 was in production by then, but they needed to keep the MG-34 in production because they were needed for use in armoured vehicles and concrete fortifications and the MG-42 was unsuitable for these applications for some reason. Plus there was still lots of MG-34's still in use and a supply of parts was needed. It seems that these MG-34's are the most common. All this information comes from the Collector's grade publication titled "German Universal Machineguns, which is a must have for collectors of these guns. The book is very expensive, but worth it.

One thing that has always baffled me is the fact that it seems MG 42's (when you find them for sale) are higher priced that the MG-34s most of the time. The MG-34 took way more time to make (machining vs stamping) and the MG-42 took about half the time to make. There is way more quality and machining that goes into making an MG 34. Not sure right now how many of each were made so maybe that has something to do with it? Anyone have any input on that?
