Semi auto pistol poll

I have a great s&w revolver and looking to add a nice semi auto.

The one I want (ruger sr22) is prohobited. Damn it!

Im looking forward to what you think is a good rimfire pistol. Im leaving out the s&w model 41 just because im not spending 1500$ on a pistol. Did i mention im married, and will be murdered if I buy another expensive gun? Im already going to guess that ruger mk III is the fan favorite. Ive read about 10 threads about it. But Im really curious about the sig mosquito, and gsg 1911-22.

You do realize you can find very good - excellent condition used ones in the EE for $700-$900, right?


I voted 22/45 because I have one and it is excellent, very reliable and extremely accurate, but I could change my mind once I get to spend time with a GSG 1911 or M&P22.

For the money it's hard to go wrong with one of the Ruger .22 pistols.

Had just about every pistol up there on the list, but the only .22 pistol I have now is my Model 41 smith and wesson. I got it for 900 total, and now I feel dirty even looking at my buddies .22 pistols.

Of all the "plinker class" .22lr pistols, the Buckmark is the best in my experience. It'll cycle subsonic ammo and its got a trigger better than most rimfire rifles. My SS camper runs like a clock.

I like my Buckmark Plus UDX. Easy to strip down for cleaning, accurate, very nice trigger, and like was mentioned mine will cycle the subsonic stuff and the cheap bulk stuff like Federal blue box value packs.

Pick up a good used S&W 41 for $700 to $1000. My 41 is my only remaining rimfire pistol.

I voted Ruger MKIII although I would replace it with a MKII
