Not a 10/22 but I removed one of the two springs from my 597 and it would cycle the CB rounds no problem. Only shot a few as I was not too sure if this would somehow damage the gun or not. Not sure about the 10/22 but Steve's response sounds about right.

My Ruger 10/22 and Sig 1911-22 will run this stuff just fine no ftf or fte...

My friends gsg 1911-22 won't run it.... go figure.

Edit- I guess I should add I haven't done anything to either. Only put on a Ruger bx trigger and the rifle is a stock compact otherwise.

I have a GSG 1911 and it hates standard velocity ammo so I am not surprised it doesn't like this. It is fine with Federal 525 bulk, Blazer, Auto match and higer velocity Federal ammo though. Nice pistol.

My Norinco clone of the Browning SA runs CCI quiet's. I haven't tried them in a Browning but based on the stock Norinco's success it wouldn't surprise me if a stock browning SA would also cycle the quiets.

Just remembered, the only semi auto rifles that can run .22lr, .22l, .22short, sub sonic, quite and even colibri is the Remington 552. There was a few 552s for sale, spread among the sponsors, a couple of weeks ago but it seem that most have been sold. Funny how these things comes in waves. Once the last 552 is sold, you might not see one for a while. I might have to add a 552 to my collection for the very fact that the company claims you could feed it anything, even though I am not a Remington fan.

Read the instruction manual. That's exactly what the manual for the GSG/Sig 1911 says. Use only high velocity 22LR ammo i.e. at least 1200fps. I've been using 1200fps and higher velocity without any problem whatsoever.

sorry to say but yea a 10/22 ruger can shoot CCI quiet with out jamming

Sure... looks like he did a conversion to get it to run with the CCI quiet? I have found that the CCI quiets wont run very well in any semi auto, sure if you want to mod it out or whatever, change the springs, slide etc... I'm sure you can get some to run them... there are other sub sonic ammo rounds with slightly higher fps that will run in semi autos, such as the aguila sub sonics perhaps.

I use the CCI rounds in my single shot... pretty quiet.

After a 10$ spring, radiused bolt and heavy polish my 10/22 runs cci quiets no problem. You could even cut the spring and do it all with stock parts.

Do you ever proof read your posts before you post them?

It has a unique bolt system. It uses a lightweight bolt and has a buffer system for the more powerful rounds. Shoots anything, shorts, quiets long rife etc. Even mixed.

The only drawback is that it can get very dirty. Luckily it is easy to remove the bolt and trigger group for cleaning.
