semi auto shooting .22LR quiet

Just remembered, the only semi auto rifles that can run .22lr, .22l, .22short, sub sonic, quite and even colibri is the Remington 552. There was a few 552s for sale, spread among the sponsors, a couple of weeks ago but it seem that most have been sold. Funny how these things comes in waves. Once the last 552 is sold, you might not see one for a while. I might have to add a 552 to my collection for the very fact that the company claims you could feed it anything, even though I am not a Remington fan.

I like these old buggers & they'll digest any ammo reliably as long as it's not CB shorts or longs. Had 3 of them over the years & they were good shooters. Pity they are so pricey now.

Would not buy the above Remington , look at you tube and reviews. It will feed from tube and jam under the lift arm seen 4 rounds removed from there, had to break down the gun to clean the jams

I would expect you'd need to change the spring to a lighter tension so it will cycle the lighter charge of a sub/quiet round.

I know most of my .22 pistols have no issues cycling, but I haven't brought my SR-22 out for a long time and I don't think I ever tried sub/quiet on them.

love that Aquila 60 grain though...fun round! just too damned expensive! <_<

I have a bone stock 10/22 that I shoot Remington subsonics through. I've never had a failure of any kind whether I was shooting slowly or trying to dump a mag as fast as I could yank the trigger. I've heard mixed reviews on this ammo but I've never had a problem with it.
