I've always been a "pump gun" guy when it came to hunting. I have had a few different pumps in my career and have been in love with my 870 for years. However, being a firearms enthusiast, I feel I would like to have a semi in the stable, The first gun I ever fired was my brothers Remington 1100, which put me straight on my ass and gave me a smile from ear to ear.
My question is which semi if given the choice would you choose. I am specifically interested in the following 3.
#1. Beretta AL391 urika
#2. Winchester superX2
#3. Remington 11-87
I am a fan of wood finishes (synthetic doesn't do it for me) and am interested in hearing opinions and experiences that any and all may have or had with the following. Am open to other selections not mentioned if they are good and reliable.

I've owned an 11/87 and currently own a 391. Of the three I'd pick the 391 because it functions with everything from 7/8s ounce target loads right up to 3" magnums. I've let mine run up to 2 thousand rounds before it needed cleaning. The downside is that they are a little demanding to clean but not impossible.

However I am primarily a clay target shooter who uses his semi as a back-up gun, a loaner for guests and to shoot waterfowl. If I didn't shoot clays regularly, I'd get a Benelli. They are robust, simple and with hunting loads very reliable. They kick more than a gas gun but I'd put up with that in return for their benefits.

But you can't go wrong with a 391. I love mine and shoot it as well with it as my much more expensive o/u.

Im not sure of the makes you list, but Ive used the Remington, and it was fine, I bought an auto 5 by Browning in a 3 inch Mag. and she hasn't jammed once.
Just my opinion, shes a little heavier than most shotties but hasn't failed me yet.

Beretta. I've got a 20ga A302. Beauty. You live down the road from me, so come on over and have a look and feel. It's pretty similar to the 391 Urika. I've got a Browning Gold 12ga and it's okay, but the Beretta is the nicest gun in my lockers, by far!

Beretta. My Urika has always been kind to me. It's the most expensive of the lot though. Worth it however, in my opinion.

I'd spend the $$ and get a 391. The benelli is nice too, but questionable if it is worth $500-$700 more. I own an 11-87, its a great utility gun (deer&ducks) but it doesn't have the feel of a beretta. Win X2 is heavy and clunky. Don't buy one.
