Semi-auto Sten?

Hey guys,

The other day my grandfather was telling me about the Sten he was issued in the 1950s and I thought it would be neat if I could acquire one to show him. I read that a company called SMG International was supposed to be making semi automatic reproductions of the Sten, but I can't find any information at all about this company or these supposed guns. Does such a thing exist or am I SOL?

I haven't heard anything about it in a while, but if I remember correctly Sask Sten was producing some, but you were really paying for them...

It seems ######## has either gone under, or discontinued their website - a victim of a rough economy and / or deliberate dithering in Ottawa? It's a nice cozy feeling to countenance that someone in Ottawa knows / does what's best for you isn't it?

The last one I built has been in Ottawa t the RCMP lab for over 2 years waiting for a ruling. Unless you are very patient, forget about it.

Odd, got my sten "kit' from Canada and it works like it is supposed to. Except the semi auto selector doesn't work very well.,

Saw one at a local gun show, apparently made by the saskatchewan co. 1800. for 5 bucks worth of iron, seemed a little pricey.
