Semi auto suggestions

The thread is almost a year old. Can the OP update us on what choice was made?

He said he had decided on a 28 gauge.
I too would like a field report if he has found the time to shoot/hunt with it.
28's are getting expensive to feed these days, but if it performs well then the expense is worth the fun.

For upland hunting, you aren't likely to shoot more than a few boxes of shells per year, if that, so cost isn't a big deal. And my hunting loads cost the same, regardless of gauge. For skeet, I reload, so the 28 gauge uses less shot, and is actually slightly cheaper to load.
 
Anyone had experience with the Mossberg SA-20? Its made in Turkey however. Is that a personal preference, or reliability issues with guns made there? thanks
