Semi auto tactical shotgun

I'll be using it in the US primarily.

Benelli M4 is likely way outta my price range, but I'm not sure how expensive they are.

I'm confused. I asked the ATF and a reply came in from their tech that I couldn't take my M4 Super90 into the US? I was told that they are "un-importable. " How is that so, is beyond me! I had seen them for sale in many States. The only thing that I had noticed is that they all had a fixed stock with either a pistol grip or normal shotgun stock - I never seen one with a collapsible stock down south.

Can anyone who took their M4 or applied with a form 6a, shed some light on this please?
