Semi in 22lr

Sig 1911-22. Love it, good cheap fun.

x2, but be aware that you'll likely want to polish the rails so it runs smoothly. Given the price of this pistol and the fact it's the size of a grown-up 1911 (unlike the Browning 1911-22), it's a great deal. Shot it in my first ever Steel Challenge and the pistol did not hold me back at all!

GSG 1911 - Nice pistol, feels good, very pleased. Even more so after I ditched the mag safety
Ruger Mk3 22/45 - built like a tank. Beefed up the grips (added panels) so it doesn't feel thin now.
Beretta 76S - Dead ###y and accurate.

You can't go wrong with a GSG 1911-22, full size 1911. They are reliable and accurate. Once they are broken in they will cycle reliably with most ammunition types, I've only found one type, the Winchester T22 Target, that won't cycle reliably.

Just to be clear, SIG 1911-22 == GSG 1911. Both are made by GSG. The sig is painted differently and normally costs more. I lucked out and found a SIG for less than a GSG. Good sale. You essentially have 4 votes for the GSG 1911 right now.

GSG/Sig 1911-22's are fun shooters if you want to try the 1911 platform.
I disconnected the mag safety on my Sig(Made it easier to take apart, etc.) The plastic sights are cheap but work. Mags are readily available and around $25.
Mine cycles bulk Win555's with little issues until it needs a quick clean @ ~150rnds.

Ruger Mk series are solid. Never had an issue with my Target or 22/45. Take-down needs some practice.

That said...I still prefer shooting my Ruger Bearcat :)

What I've got for .22lr semi-auto's....

Ruger MkII 5.5 bull barrel;
Ruger MkIII 22/45 4.5" slabside barrel;
GSG1911 .22lr;
Colt 1911 .22 conversion unit;
Beretta Model 71.

Love 'em all!

I have a CZ Kadet Awesome shoots anything
Browning Buckmark Countour works great and will shoot anything.
GSG 1911 verdict still out as I am having FTF issues and a little finicky.
Have a Smith & Wesson M&P in the mail

'u' is not a word. How much money do you want to spend? A target pistol can run upwards of 2 grand. A Ruger a great deal less.
"...Once they are broken in..." There's no such thing as a break in period. A .22 pistol will either cycle and shoot a particular brand or it won't. .22's are just like that.
"...Winchester T22 Target..." It's always been like that. Mind you, with an .22, you have to try a box of as many brands as you can to find the ammo the pistol(or rifle) will both shoot well and cycle the action.
