Contact148 - the interpretation of what is the receiver is only relevant if original parts are used. If the main casing w/trigger housing and magazine housing were both newly made, and if the mechanism were seriously semi auto, then there shouldn't be a problem. Unlike some other designs, the Sten is not specifically named, so there is no "or variant of" situation. A completely new gun would be just another semi auto firearm, with restricted or non-restricted status depending on barrel length.

Yeah, I saw that the same company was also gearing up to make semi-auto MP-44's as well. Definitely a market for it now with the originals either unattainable for most of us either by law or by price/scarcity.

Now if they had those mp44 copies in 7.62x39mm I would buy one for sure if I had the cash.

Love the look of that StG44, I remember it well from the Medal of Honour series on Playstation... were design ideas for the AK47 taken from it? Looks kinda similar.

The BD 44 will be available in the specialized trade soon and costs 1,996, - € (delivery only against valid acquisition authorization!).

Translation = price is 2000 Euro.
