Seperate taper crimp die, or use bullet seater die?

I included a Redding .223 Taper Crimp Die in a recent Brownell's order and I'm not quit sure why I ordered it.

Is there any benefit to using a stand alone taper crimp die over crimping with the bullet seater die? I'm using an RCBS seater die in a Hornady progressive.

I think you are better off with the taper crimp die, especially since its in a progressive and you have room for it.
Using the standard bullet seater die, the cases should be trimmed to the exact same length. Not so critical with the taper crimp die.
So seat with the standard die backed out not to crimp and then crimp with the taper crimp die in the next station.
