** September Purchases **

OK, found time to take some pics :)

Here's a nice 1942 91/30 refurb. It's stamped matching and the only renumbered part is the floorplate. The bolt is the orignal bolt, poor "enemy at the gates" machining and all. ;)

Notice how they even only cleaned up the mag welds with a fast pass on the grinding disc!

See the mill marks and rough finish on the bolt flat prior to stamping?

Cool, huh? I like the rough ones :) Oh - and she's a laminate too!

And here's a nice 1931 Tikka M27 :)

Even the hard to find M27 sling!
IMG_3217.jpg

Even built on an early Chatellerault receiver. Notice the lack of a tang date and the thread oiling hole? There's also a circle-C on the side of the tang :)

And lastly, here is a nice 1941 Tikka M91 in a wartime (continuation war) Finn 3 piece stock. Bore is mint. Receiver is Austro-hungarian capture marked :)

But these aren't new aquisitions. My M24 should be here tomorrow, but give me a few days to clean it up and post pics ;)

Dam, but those are nice....

The laminate stock is juicy sweet

How about a little more explantion on the austro Hungarian capture marks?....Not the same as my '91 with German capture marks?

Hi Klunk, German captures either have "Deutches Reich" in a roundel cartouche on the butt stock like this:
DeutschesReich1.jpg

Or, in rarer cases on the side of the receiver like thi:
Deutschland.jpg

Austro-Hungarian WW1 captures are marked AZF, OEWG, or capital R.

Here's a pic of my Austro-Hungarian captured Sestroryetsk receiver. It is marked AZF (Artillerie Zeugs Fabrik in Vienna) on both barrel and receiver, along with a "14" for the 1914 rework date (by the Austrians in Vienna). It also has the R on the barrel, next to the Russian "No." marking, but usually it's just one or the other.
