Anyone have a link to determine dates via serial numbers for FN pistols like the FN 1910 and 1922 etc?

The browning website does not cover FN pistols.

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunatly FN was and is like most arms manufacturers of the day.
Military contract orders were completed with the serial numbers specified by the purchasing country.

Civil production may or may not have been consecutive; the same rule applies - purchaser could specify serial number ranges.

Therefore, my buddies tangent sighted, shoulder stocked Hi-Power which by serial number "should have been" produced in 1938-39ish shows features which date it between @1958-1960.

The same rules apply for the M.1910 & 1922...

You basically have to use the Belgian proof marks to date the guns, and I'm not really familiar with the date changes...

Here is a list of the inspectors marks/dates for the FN High Power pistol.
Can't say if the same fellows would have inspected the 1910/22 though.

I believe the Collector Grade book about the Hi-Power would be of help, if anyone has one can they say if it has the serial number/dates data?
