serious sks bug infection and the registry delayed my treatment!!!

So i have been bitten for a while now and the infection was ever growing. the last few months i've been going paycheck to paycheck so i couldn't afford to just drop a couple hundred on the gun and the ammo. My birthday was last week and i asked everyone to help me out and pitch on the gun. We drove an hour and a half to SFRC (who was awsome by the way) on saturday, purchased the gun, and 400 rounds of czech corrosive. You probably know what happened next. Registration didn't go through, and I would have to come back to pick it up monday or tuesday when it went through. So home i went, with my ammo pouch, sling, cleaning kit, and 400 rounds of 7.62, and no sks. Worst feeling in the world as I have been waiting for months. but it IS mine as I have already paid. She's a 1950, didn't get to look at it long enough to tell if it was an izzy or a tula. could have had it shipped but I just don't want to risk it when i can drive.

Just think, in a few weeks from now, this wouldn't have happened;) but i guess a couple more days is better than a couple more weeks right? anyways wish me luck that it goes through today.
 
I've had that happen..gone fishing actually, the whole serial numbers issues. The gentlmen at the desk then said he had a few crates of stock in the back and If I wanted to pick out another one instead and cancel this one it most likely will go through on the spot. So we did and bam left with my sks and ammo. I would think that any business would of done that for you or at least mentioned it especially for the hr and a half drive! Unless they only had one left in stock..than that's unfortunate.

Yeah I was always curious about this. I've bought 3 sks and 4 friends have as well all at the same store. Every time they run them tru the computer the counter guy says "wow it went thru". I've never had to wait just pay and drive home with my new toy. What is it that holds them up sometimes? Thanks.
 
No problem, serial # mumbo jumbo, had a delay problem on one of my russian, you will be shooting your Tula pretty soon, congrat... JP.
 
Went through sooner than I thought:D called at quarter after 3 and it still hadn't gone through. Me and a buddy said f*** it and made the drive anyways. pulled in right before they closed at 5 and between then and the time that i had called, it went through. Talk about a gamble that actually turned out good for once.

went straight to the sand pit and put 50 rounds through it just to get the cosmo' softened up a bit;) or maybe it was just months of waiting to throw 7.62 finally being released, either way, it felt good.
