Twas a great day (well, half a day for me) on the range. TimK conducted a free AR and Elcan clinic for yours truly.. :D

Figured out that the Elcan is fine, and I can actually shoot, but that my AR's compensator was on to tight and it was throwing my groups all over the target. I managed to get it pulled off and shot some groups without it. MUCH improved! No wonder my scores have been low. I had been thinking it was the Elcan giving up on me, or it was just that I can't shoot for #### no more. But, it was the rifle. Go figure. Big thanks to Tim for helping sort that out for me.

Now... Anyone got a "bird cage" they want to sell me!?!? :)
 
Well, that's what I have now. It works great actually. It's like this one.

There was quite a noticeable shooting the rifle without it. I wonder if I could just get some of those "peeler" washers so the thing would index properly, without it being to tight.

Where would one score some of those washers?? I know Brownels carries them. Wonder if there's a local source though.
 
Aw shiat, I missed out on learning from TimK and having some siits and giggles session.
