New to reloading and I have purchased some 77 gr Sierra match king bullets, cci mil spec primers and some varget powder. Going to be loading on a rcbs single stage press.

Does anyone have loads using these components they would recommend out of a 20" govt profile, 1-7 twist barrel chambered in .223 wylde? Brass used will be mil spec, annealed once fired brass.

Not looking for the hottest load possible, but a mid range load with good accuracy. I know this will vary from barrel to barrel but hoping for a good place to start.

Thanks for any help!

"...hoping for a good place to start..." I've always found the powder given for the accuracy load in my old Lyman book is a good place to start. Usually ends there too.
"...loading on a rcbs single stage press..." Speed comes with technique. Two bins on either side, one with unprocessed cases, the other for processed cases. Do one step to all of 'em, then change dies. It's not a bad thing to get all your cases to where they just need powder and bullet and store 'em.

Plan to do it all in bulk one step at a time!

That's pretty much the exact setup I use for Service and Precision with an AR. The only difference is my barrel is 1:8 twist. Load develop a bunch of rounds using the Sierra data and pick your best group to use. If you do all of your brass prep in batches, it isn't too bad to run through a few hundred cases at a time for each step.
