I would like to purchase an Atlas bipod but I am uncertain about a mounting issue that may or may not exist.
When adding a picatinny rail for the atlas bipod what is the most common way to set it so that a long Harris bipod could still be used? When hunting a person cannot shoot from the prone position due to tall grass or in winter a person needs a long bipod to get through the snow.
I am not seeing how a bipod stud could be used to mount a bipod without the Atlas rail removed from the front of the stock unless the rail was mounted quite far back down the stock but I worry about balance using a longer barreled rifle.
Just want to get this figured out before I order a stock and buy an Atlas bipod.
