Hey guys.
Anyone using sevensixtwo systems duckbill less adapter and mag release? I recently got it and modified two of my Bauer mags to fit but it's not feeding period. It's illiterate the rounds are too low or at a wrong angle. So when the bolt comes forward the round hits side of the throat versus going in
Anyone had this problem?

I have this system on my one SKS and its working excellent. You have to be very careful filing the plastic on the mags where need be. Filing too much in some areas will result and a loose fit, making the mag sit low and allow the bolt to not properly pick up a round (happened to a tapco mag that i screwed up on, i fixed it by screwing a itty bitty screw into the bottom of the mags back lip to take up the slack) . In general, i have never been impressed with the function, fit and finish of the Bauer mags for SKS. Id say loose them all together and buy Tapcos. IMO

The mag sits flush against the receiver. There is a little play on the rear where it clips into the trigger assembly but even with me pushing against the mag doesn't do anything to improve the feeding. It like the follower tilt is wrong for the sks. Gonna try tapco mags if I can't get these suckers to work

on the bauer mags I had the spring was way too long resulting in too much spring tension causing feeding problems , it would push the back of the round up and then when the bolt came forward the front of the round would hit the lower part of the feed ramp causing a jam. I took the mag apart and cut the spring a bit at a time till the follower did not rise fully to the feed lips, this fixed the feed issue with my mags, I dont think that the mag adapter is the cause. But if you have any problems give them a shout at sevensixtwo ,im sure they can help you out .

That is what it looks like but was thinking that maybe its in the length of the mag lips (i dont know what to call it lol). Because its quite a bit longer than the original sks one so I had files em down to same length and its a bit better. Next step is to cut the spring.
Will report back, planning to do that tonight.

Nope. SevenSixTwo say they do ot fit AK mags. However im sure with some persuation you could but then you might aswell do it yourself from scratch

This Promag should work and I may alter a 10rd AK PMag we'll see when I compare both products..

I heard the Bauer and Tapco mag works but not sure on the Promag system.

I used both tapco and baur mags.
Only used baur mags with the duckbill-less front block mod. Couldnt get it to work right. The front block wouldnt stay tight. They sent me a replacement one and it still wouldnt work. I went to the length of dremiling my sks receiver to make it deeper thinking it was the problem.
So they gave me a refund. Good system, wish there was a way to add tw sion on to the front block so it would stay tight

I installed a sevensixtwo system on my sks with tapco stock and love it. Works so much better than the original part or the creaky tapco replacement.

If anyone is considering buying one for their sks don't hesitate!

Curious if that AK pmag idea ever worked airborn69?
