SFRC has super grade sks with black bayonet laminated stocks

Before getting all negative about super grade I did buy a act-40 from SFRC and it is like new from the factory perfect wood and not a scratch anywhere. So I have high hopes for this sks. I bet it will be near flawless, it didn't have the year listed or a pic of the sks I am getting so it is a little more exciting. You will all get you 2 cents in on the 19th. It's a laminate so here's hoping for a nice stock. Hope it's more of a brown colour than the red tint laminate I got from traded. I could do a compare of the traded I got a few years ago and this new ###y sks with the bada$$ black bayonet.

Do you mean "too good to shoot"? I think you should shoot with it and be on the lookout for a better one as a show piece.
This one is good, I like the black bayonet and I will be getting one myself someday but it is just a nice refurb, with a bit of extra "bada$$"!
The non-refurbs have nicer bluing and the wood has a glazed look instead of a glossy look, plus there are cartouches.

Are you going to give us a range report comparasion of both your SKS?
 
Seems to be a lack of interest in this and some negative comments so it's a no to the range report. I thought sks was the most popular red rifle. I guess I was wrong.

I am going to buy a Finnish m39 Mosin Nagant. And go head to head with a Mosin Nagant 91/30.
 
Looks like the $199,- sale SKS from Cabelas at Christmas with a cold blued bayonet. Nothing wrong with it if it shoots good.

It's got a nice looking stock and looks to be in good condition ... I'm sure you'll enjoy shooting it. Unfortunately, shot show is on right now and lots of people are following that. The SKS is indeed popular, but it's a contentious issue for some folks .... Some hate the SKS no matter what and some only like an SKS when it's $149 and don't care about its looks or condition and some only like an unrefurbished SKS with a chrome bayonet. After all that, some people like all SKS's. Shoot it and enjoy.
