Well I'm tired of these big pinned heavy mags for these sg 542
i use mine for hunting so a nice light 5 rounder or pistol 10 wouldbe perfect .
Since no one is dealing with this issue .
Imdown in the states and have picked up a Bunch of mags to bring home and start to modify
I'll get some pics and info up soon

Is it possible to bring mags back from the states? I thought they were one of those ITAR controlled items or something like that... Or is it a non-issue as long as they are considered legal in Canada? (i.e. 10 rnd pistol mag good, 15 rnd pistol mag bad)
 
anohter mag that is close is the HK g91, just peal off the outer layer of metal, and ad a tab and good to go.
 
1) bringing mags over the border w/o correct paperwork is illegal

2) taking a purposed mag and converting it to hold 10 rds and calling it a pistol mag is illegal.
 
So far the lar / dmps/ and the. M/ P 308 are all 1/16 to thick
all other points on these three mags will work
yes I'm thinking a ruger scout 5 / 10 single stack
has any one tried the m305 mags
 
I test fit an AI 10rd mag, it will feed if held in the right position but, as pointed out, you can't mod the mag so the rifle would need to be worked on. At this time I'm waiting to see what the best options will be before modifying the rifle.

Most of the other mags I've tried, including the M305, will not fit inside of the mag well. The AI mags do fit with room to spare.
 
We can mod the mag if it's metal and once we have a modified metal
then 3 d printer away
