Anyone know if there is any stocks being developed for the 1301 that doesn't require an adapter? I love the magpul stocks but really wish they would manufacture one just for the Beretta .

As far as I know, no. A proper stock and handguard without adapters would be great. I don't like the extra reach from the stock adapter and I have very long fingers. I imagine sausage fingered folk like it even less.

If you do bite the bullet and go the adapter path, make sure you purchase the Magpul Mossberg 590 stock.
Ask me how I know…..

Why not just say it? I have 870 stocks on both my guns, I can't think of any real issue not caused by the adapter itself. Enlighten us.

My only guess is that you don't realize there are adapters for 870 stocks.

I installed the Mesa Tactical Urbino on my 1301. Pistol grips are nice on semi auto shotguns. I like the look of the Magpul stocks more but the Mesa is better functioning and ergonomic.

I am trying to find Mesa's new "Truckee" handgaurd. Looks pretty nice and priced better than similar forearms. I am tempted by the Urbino as I really don't like the extra length the SGA adapter produces. I have long fingers but it still just seems odd and I don't like it.

I bought one directly from Mesa. It showed up within a week. It’s a nice piece of kit

I’ve tried out the truckee and I like it a lot. It is solid with many Mlok slots. The only thing that may not work for some is the diameter of the fore end. It is quite chunky
