Good Day,
Just got my shadow 2, great looking and feeling pistol, but a bit heavy thogh. The trigger on mine has some gritty creep, feels on the mushey side. I have not shot it yet, just wondering what the triggers have been like on the other shadows 2? Will CZ warranty remdey this?

Thx

Gritty and or mushy Shadow or S2 trigger is highly usual. Even out of the box. Have a few CZ’s and the triggers are all wet dreams.

If you are able to take it back to the gun store and try another one i’d Look to swap them and let gun store deal with it. Failing that I’m guessing the gritty feeling will likely disappear with use, but not sure about the mushy part. Never heard of a mushy Shadow trigger before.

Got it on line and from across the country, so wount be able to take it back and compare. I have been comparing it to my so-p1 shadow line, which has a nice clean break. I will contact the the store where i bought it, and see if they can do anything. Not sure if this qualifies for warranty, but has anyone dealt with CZ, and what are they like?

The mushy feeling is due to the gritty creep, if I pull the trigger slow enough to get past the gritty creep it does seem to break clean. Pulling the trigger fast I only feel the gritty creep, pulling at medium speed feels mushy. I can see the sear movement against hammer and stop the trigger pull, until it’s just about to breeak.

There are many great resources online. Google professor atlas on brian enos forum.
Both of my shadow 2's had a burr on the hammer causing poor sa trigger, polished out no problem

Just shoot it, and let it polish itself. :) My Shadow 1 trigger has some creep, but I don't notice when I'm trying for splits under 0.2 seconds. lol!

Take it apart, polish it, dry fire + live fire for about 5000 pulls and you're put will be smooth. Changing the springs can definitely help! The first thing most IPSC guys do.

Yea I think I will, but first I’ll see if the vendor or CZ can do something.

contacted vendor, said to shoot it and it will smooth out, and nothing they can do about the gritty feel. They also said If i want I can contact Wolverine, for warranty possibly.

Finally had a chance to try out it at the range today, great pistol. The guys i was with loved it as well, one of them is going to buy one now. The trigger is starting to feel better as well, I have been dry firing a lot. all in all a great day at the range.
